XRAY won the National Cup of Greece at Fanatix Racing Track of Athens. Many drivers from all over Greece attended the race. It is an one day race. The competition was very tough because that was the next major race after Greek championship. Joseph Quagraine attended the race but without counting for the final ranking as a foreigner. THE world famous driver and constructor participated only as a guest. Kyosho-Orion driver Papanikolaou is the âśkingâť and he has won more than 13 races in this track. It was not a surprise that he took the TQ spot in the 45 main Final.
The final starts very well for all cars. Papanikolaou was leading with some minor changes of the first place from Paparegas T. and JQ after the pitstops. In the middle of the race Papanikolaou had an engine problem so Paparegas T took the lead followed very closely from JQ. They changed the leading position many times and after rocket fast pitstops. 2 laps to the end Paparegas was first with JQ just in his rear wing. JQ tried a pass, he made a mistake and crashed on Tasos but as a fair-play driver he waited and at the last lap he made an extremely difficult pass and a little matter to discuss(but referee let it go-it was very impressive indeed) as he waited for the right moment and after a small jump he landed his car in the inside line of the corner used Tasosâ™ xray to turn. The crowd was so enthusiastic and impressed from this move. They end the 45min race with a very small gap of 1-2 sec.
This was again a great result for XRAY â“ RB in Greece as after the 3rd consecutive national championship the Greek National Cup was won too. We want to thank the Paparegas brothers and all xray RB drivers for their efforts. We want to thank JQ for his visit and a great competition.
